Grant Wilde is the former President & CEO of Spartan Controls Ltd. He believes that being driven by meaning or purpose, consciously contributing, and bringing our personal energy to all we do, is key to living fulfilling and successful lives. He is proud of how Spartans are helping to create a sustainable modern world.

Grant has held a variety of roles in his 29 year career at Spartan including; Business Group and Customer Segment executive leadership, sales, marketing, business unit management, and front line sales.

He is a current or past member for various private companies, advisory, and association boards including Emerson, the Strategic Growth Partners Network, the Business Council of Alberta, and is a past President of the Gas Processors Suppliers Association of Canada.

Grant has been involved with executive development through the Queen’s School of Business, the Global Institute of Leadership Development (GILD) and the Institute of Corporate Directors. He is the author of the 'Leadership Equation™'. Grant is a professional Engineer and Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of Alberta. He lives in Calgary with his wife and has two grown children.

Doug has over 20 years of experience in a variety of roles at Spartan including; business group executive leadership, sales and business unit management, front line sales, and systems engineering.

Doug is a Chemical Engineering graduate from the University of Alberta and has been involved with executive development through the Queen’s School of Business, the Global Institute of Leadership Development (GILD), and serves on Emerson advisory boards.

Jennifer joined Spartan in 2008 and leads the Finance and Office Services teams. She has over 30 years' experience in finance and other various sectors.

Jennifer graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1988 and became a designated Chartered Accountant in 1991. Prior to joining Spartan, Jennifer gained financial experience through positions at KPMG and Mountain Equipment Co-op.

Terrance has over 30 years’ experience in the industrial automation, advanced process control (APC) systems and digital technology sector. He has held various leadership roles in operating companies, including roles of leading both Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) teams that are focused on improving the operational performance and reliability in the industrial sector.

His passion continues to be generating sustainable business results for industrial customers through the innovative application of advanced technologies. His focus on sustainability is around driving a culture of innovation at Spartan, with an emphasis on 360 degree Innovation leadership and connecting new ideas to our Customer’s business outcomes.

Scott graduated from the University of Alberta Mechanical Engineering program in 1984 and joined Spartan in an inside sales role. Today, Scott leads the Edmonton Automation Centre, Spartan's primary facility for sales, warehousing, assembly, and service operations, and oversees the development of regional service centers and internal information technology services.

He has been integral in leading operational consistency across business, execution and service areas and brings energy and passion to his job while being an excellent mentor to many Spartans.

Through expert leadership and management of large teams, she has propelled organizations to unprecedented levels of achievement. Her innate curiosity and dedication fuel Keri’s passion for building high-performing teams and thriving in environments prioritizing continuous improvement and innovation.

Rob Gray

Vice President, Global Sales

Rob Gray brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at Spartan Controls in Western Canada since 2010. With a background in Instrumentation Engineering, a Red Seal Instrumentation and Controls Certification, and an MBA in Finance, Rob's expertise spans technical and sales roles, particularly in ROI-generating software applications. His strategic approach supports customer success and drives BlueMarvel towards its global expansion goals, positioning the company for sustained growth and innovation.

As a chemical engineer passionate about industrial automation and data management, Chris Lloyd specializes in bridging the gap between Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) to propel digital transformation in industrial facilities. With extensive experience across 50+ sites in sectors such as oil & gas, agriculture, life sciences, mining, and pulp and paper, Chris excels in managing intricate data projects and implementing AI and analytics solutions. Whether handling vast data sets or leading projects from conception to execution, Chris is committed to optimizing companies' triple bottom line of People, Planet, and Profits through innovative technological solutions.

Rahul Raveendran is currently serving as the Head of Products and Solution at BlueMarvel.ai. With a Ph.D. in Process Control and B. Tech and M. Tech degrees in Chemical Engineering, Dr. Raveendran has accumulated over 12 years of experience in research and development. His expertise lies in creating data-driven solutions and products specifically designed for industrial operations.

Rui Nian

Head of Technology

Rui (Ray) Nian leads the software development team at BlueMarvel AI, specializing in creating modern software tailored for the process industry. Rui holds a BSc. in Chemical Engineering and an MSc. in Process Control from the University of Alberta. During his MSc., Rui specialized in reinforcement learning optimal control and ML for industrial monitoring and prediction. Previously, Rui has worked in health care, upstream/midstream and downstream oil and gas, and mining operations.
